Team Names Decided - The Lions vs The Tigers

With the countdown to the big Norwich game begun the Team Names have been decided, thanks to a wee bit of research Cullen style.

As most of the Wards at Great Ormond street have names....please see below we have picked a couple that reflected both our passion and pride as footballers and charity doo'gooders, as well as two very worthy wards that do amazing work. So therefore....

The Tigers  Vs  The Lions.  A brief description on those wards below.

Tiger - Neurology and Craniofacial

This ward is for children who have problems with their brain and nervous system. This includes children who have seizures (fits), have had a stroke, or have a neurodegenerative brain disorder that gradually gets worse over time. There is also a specialist epilepsy surgery service and a special suite of rooms especially for carrying out neurological tests.

Lion - Haematology and Oncology

This ward is for children with cancer and leukaemias. The children tend to spend some of their treatment at GOSH and the rest at home under the care of their local 'shared care' hospital. This means that children do not have to spend months in hospital when they could be at home.
